Ed Bowen has served as pastor of the Crafton United Presbyterian Church since March of 2000.  Ordained in 1991, he previously served as pastor of two churches in Westmoreland County for 8 ½ years.  Ed graduated from Bethel Park High School.  He then attended Grove City College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Economics.  He went on to work for the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. for two years, during which time he earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate.  Ed enrolled at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he received the Master of Divinity degree in 1991.   Several years later he continued his studies and received the Doctor of Ministry degree in 1998.   Ed has had a large number of sermons and essays published over the years in Lectionary Homiletics, Emphasis, The Presbyterian Outlook, The Expository Times, GoodPreacher.com, and SermonMall.com.  Ed resides in Green Tree.  His parents live in Bethel Park, and his brother and his family live in Austin, Texas.  Ed may be contacted at craftonup@yahoo.com.

Marla Kemmler started as our Ministry Coordinator in January 2010.  She previously worked as the Christian Education Director at Brentwood Presbyterian Church.  Marla graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.  She is actively involved with the Brentwood High School Marching Bank Parents' organization.  Marla, her husband, and their four sons live in Brentwood.  Marla may be contacted at craftonup@yahoo.com.

 

Mark Gulden has served as Organist/Choir Director since August 2010.  Previously, he was the organist at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dormont, where he continues to serve as the chairperson of the Evangelism Committee.  In addition to his love for music, he has owned and operated a small graphic design/marketing business on a full-time basis for over twenty years.  Mark resides in Dormont with his wife Klair, his three sons, and their golden retriever.  Besides playing music, Mark's favorite pastime is composing and arranging music.

Amanda Williams started working at our church in October 2010.  She serve as the custodian, food service coordinator, and outreach associate.  Amanda enjoys coaching children's softball and soccer teams.  She has two daughters.  A graduate of West Allegheny High School, Amanda lives in Pittsburgh.  She has been a frequent volunteer with our Youth Club and food pantry for many years.   Amanda may be contacted at craftonup@yahoo.com.

Cathy Schulz began her service as the church’s Administrative Assistant/Church Secretary in October of 2006.  Previously she had worked as a legal secretary and with her family business in Bridgeville.  She lives with her family in South Fayette.  She enjoys spending time with her family and going on mission trips.  Cathy may be contacted at craftonup@yahoo.com.
Barbara Miller started as our Community Nurse in May 2009.  She previously worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room of Passavant Hospital.  She serves as the volunteer coordinator for the health ministry of the Assumption, Sacred Heart, and St. Mary Roman Catholic Churches.  Barb also worked as a registered nurse for the Hope Hospice.  She is a graduate of the West Penn Hospital Nursing School, and has done continuing education through the Community College of Allegheny County.  Barb is married to David, and they have five children and five grandchildren.  She enjoys sewing, quilting, and gardening.  Barb may be contacted at craftonup@yahoo.com.
Treva Rousseau has served as our Preschool Teacher since August 2011.  During the 2010-11 school year she was our Assistant Teacher.  A resident of Crafton, Treva works as a music minister for several area churches and teaches voice and drama for local dance, elementary, and high schools.  Although the duties of motherhood fill most of her day, Treva also finds time to own a costume business, to volunteer for school activities, to renovate her house, and to attend college full time.
 

Brittany Barthelemy has served as our Assistant Preschool Teacher since August 2011.  She also served in that position from 2008-2010.
